Why Amalia properties call a local electrician

At elevation, Amalia sees cold winters, heavy snow on service lines, and lightning in the summer. Space heaters, heat tape, and well pumps work hard here, and many older homes were wired long before those loads existed.

Most properties in Taos County get their electricity from Kit Carson Electric Cooperative. If your project touches the meter or main service, we handle the scheduling with the utility.
