Why Alcalde properties call a local electrician
At elevation, Alcalde sees cold winters, heavy snow on service lines, and lightning in the summer. Space heaters, heat tape, and well pumps work hard here, and many older homes were wired long before those loads existed.
Depending on your address, power in Rio Arriba County typically comes from Jemez Mountains Electric Cooperative, Kit Carson Electric Cooperative, or Northern Rio Arriba Electric Cooperative. When a job involves the meter or the service connection, we coordinate the shutoff and reconnection with the utility.
Our lighting installation covers all of Alcalde, along with neighboring San Juan Pueblo, Embudo, Hernandez, and Velarde.
