Battery Backup Installation FAQs for Portales

How long will a battery run my Portales home?

It depends on the battery's size and what you run. One battery typically carries lights, refrigeration, and electronics through the night. Running central air needs considerably more storage.

Battery or generator?

Batteries are silent, automatic, and nearly maintenance-free, and are best for essentials. Generators deliver more power for longer as long as they have fuel. Some homes use both.

Do I need solar to have a battery?

No. A battery can charge from the grid. Solar lets it recharge during an extended outage.
